Who we are

This website is operated by Tropical Gardening, a landscaping and garden care company based in Hyderabad, India. In the language of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the data fiduciary for the personal data described below — we decide why and how it is handled.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form on our contact page. That form asks for:

• Your name and email address — both required, because we cannot reply without them.
• Your phone number — required. Most landscaping enquiries are quicker to settle in a two-minute call than in a thread of emails.
• The service you are interested in — optional, chosen from a list.
• What you tell us about the space — required. Please do not include anything sensitive here; it is a garden brief, not a form that needs your identity documents.

The form also carries one hidden field that people never see and automated spam scripts fill in. If it comes back filled, we discard the submission without reading it. Nothing else about you is captured.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

To answer your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare an estimate, and follow up on it. Under the DPDP Act we rely on the consent you give by choosing to send us the form — you know what you are asking for, and this is the information needed to provide it. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not build a profile of you.

Who else sees it

Nobody buys it, because we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.

When you submit the form, the details are stored in our Supabase database and sent through our SMTP email provider to our team. Both providers act as processors on our instructions and only for the purpose of handling your enquiry. If either provider stores data outside India, your enquiry is transferred there in the course of being stored or delivered. We will confirm the current provider locations on request; ask us at tg@tropicalgardening.in.

Our website host keeps ordinary server records of requests made to the site, as every web host does. We do not analyse those records or connect them to enquiries.

How long we keep it

As long as we need it to respond to you and to follow up on the work, and no longer. We retain a submission in our database while its email notification is pending or needs attention after a delivery failure. If your enquiry does not become a project, we have no reason to hold it — and if you ask us to delete it before then, we will.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party tracking scripts, and it stores nothing in your browser. Our typefaces are served from this site’s own domain rather than fetched from a font provider while you read, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you did.

There is no cookie banner on this site for the same reason there is no long cookie section: there is nothing to consent to.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and what we have done with it; ask us to correct or complete anything inaccurate; ask us to erase it; and withdraw the consent you gave when you sent the form, as easily as you gave it. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

Write to tg@tropicalgardening.in and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you may raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is meant for people arranging work on a property, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something through this form, tell us and we will remove it.

Security

The enquiry form is served and submitted over an encrypted connection, and the details go only to the people who need to read them in order to reply. No arrangement on the internet is perfect and we will not claim otherwise — but we hold very little, which is the most reliable protection there is.

Changes to this policy

If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when. There is no mailing list to notify, so it is worth a glance if you are about to send us something.
